Mieczyslaw Litwinski - composer, multiinstrumentalist. He was influenced, as a acomposer, by a direct contact with J. Cage and K. Stockhousen. He writes chamber, ballet and theatre music. His compositions have been performed, among others, in Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center, Knitting Factory in New York, Trajan Forum in Rome, at festivals of new music : Inventionen (Berlin), Bang on a Can (New York), The Warsaw Autumn, Ad Libitum (Warsaw). He has appeared in concerts all over Europe, in America, Russia and Iran. He has co-operated with, among others, Pauline Oliveiros, Peter Gordon, Haamid Drake, Paolo Pandolfo, Coen Brothers (film), Ohad Naharin,Royston Maaldoom (contemporary dance).; He ha also co-operaated with museums : Museum of Natural History, Roerich Museum (New York) , Musei di Fori Imperiali (Rome), Museum of Contemporary Art (Isfahan), The National Museum and Museum of Asia and Pacific (Warsaw). He also teaches ( among others at New York Open Center, New York University, University of Prince Vitold in Kowno, Warsaw University).
